There are several solutions offered by Pictometry that allow you to get the most out of your images. This document provides an overview of some of these solutions. Please contact a Pictometry representative to obtain more information on these solutions or if there isn't a solution that best fits your needs.
 | ActiveX SDK | The ActiveX SDK allows an application or web site to embed Pictometry functionality with minimal effort. The ActiveX SDK allows image loading, image warehouse searching, search configuration, zooming, and scrolling. Additionally, the Search, Distance, Bearing, Area, Height, Elevation, Navigation, Pan, Zoom, and Image Extract tools are supported. Point, line, and polygon annotations drawing with color, style, and thickness attributes are also supported. A Beta Toolbox Component is now available to registered users for download. |
 | ArcIMS Integration | The ArcIMS Integration package provides a sample ESRI HTML viewer web application. This integration serves up Pictometry imagery in an ArcIMS web environment. The ActiveX SDK is used as part of the ArcIMS integration and most of the ActiveX capabilities are available. |
 | ArcMap Extension | The ArcMap Extension is designed to work within ArcMap. The installation procedure adds a Pictometry toolbar to the ArcMap environment. This toolbar provides the interface to the Pictometry functionality. The ArcMap extension also uses the ActiveX SDK and supports most of its capabilities. |
 | ArcGIS Explorer | The Pictometry ArcGIS Explorer Plug in utilizes the ActiveX SDK to enable the user to view Pictometry images from within ArcGIS Explorer. Once installed, the user will have a Pictometry Viewer Task that they can run. The task allows the user to select a point on their map and a Result window will be displayed which contains the images for that location. The standard measurement and navigation tools are available. In addition you can display multiple result windows at the same time. |
 | Network Image Warehouse | Network Image Warehouse (NIW) is a server-side solution that assists in minimizing network traffic and can assist in the management and access of Image Warehouses for Pictometry products. This solution is an ASP.NET 1.1 solution that requires IIS. While Microsoft Windows 2000 is supported, Windows Server 2003 is the recommended platform. more... |
 | XML/SOAP Web Services | Pictometry XML/SOAP Web Services is an XML/SOAP-based solution for the Microsoft ASP.NET 1.1. platform. As with the Network Image Warehouse, Windows 2000 is a supported platform with Windows Server 2003 being the preferred platform. The Web Services provide state-driven access to image warehouse searching, search customization, and image retrieval and extraction along with Distance, Bearing, Area, Height, and Elevation tool support on a per-connection basis.  | Image Navigator | The Pictometry Image Navigator is an AJAX solution designed to run in a browser window. This powerful SDK provides a complete interface to Pictometry Imagery and functionality including measurement tools. Additionally, the interface allows for continuous panning between images so you never have to slow down. A services agreement is needed to deploy this application. more... |
